A Call to Care
About the project
“I want everyone to see it! I want to send it to every MP in the country!”
“So much (of nursing) is unspoken, tacit, difficult to explain and articulate. The movement and poetry of this film does this beautifully.”
A Call to Care is a creative documentary-style film exploring nurses’ experience during the COVID-19 pandemic and their hopes for the future. Co-created with nurses from the Royal College of Nursing. Made over 8 weeks through creative conversations with nurses across the UK, the film asks us to stop and consider all that happened during the Coronavirus Pandemic, the toll it has taken on those at the frontline, and what comes next.
A Call to Care, an archipelago arts collective production and a HOMEmakers commission by HOME Manchester, in collaboration with The Royal College of Nursing, with additional support from Lawrence Batley Theatre, Camden People’s Theatre and The Civic, Barnsley.
